What is Practice Session?
Practice Mode and Feedback Mode have been combined into a single activity called Practice Session. Now you'll get feedback right where you already practice.
Use the Feedback toggle at the top of your Practice Session and tap the record button whenever you're ready to get personalized insights on your playing.
How do I opt into the BETA to test this new feature?
Opt in via the pop-up on the home page. Click "Turn on Feedback" if you'd like to test out Practice Sessions.
You can also enable or disable the feature through Settings from the main navigation:
Where can I find Practice Sessions?
If you've oped into the BETA, you'll see Practice Session after most lessons.
Why do I still see Feedback Mode in Courses when opted into the Practice Session BETA?
We'll be removing the old Feedback Mode activity from Courses once the BETA period has ended.
Why are Practice Modes and Feedback Modes becoming Practice Session?
With practice and feedback modes in the same place, you won't have to switch between lessons to get feedback on your playing.
What kind of feedback will I get on my playing?
When you're done, you'll receive a score on your overall performance as well as a breakdown on pitch and rhythm.
Tap the markers to explore detailed feedback after each playthrough and see exactly where you did well and where you can improve.
How do I enable the microphone on my device for feedback?
The first time you use Feedback in Practice Session, you’ll be prompted to enable your microphone. Click “Allow” so the app can hear your playing and give feedback. If you accidentally decline this permission, follow the steps here to enable it.
