For the best experience, you’ll need a network speed of 0.5 Megabits per second or higher. You can test your internet connection speed by following these steps:
- Go to Google.com.
- Search for speed test.
- Tap or click Run Speed Test.
If your connection speed is sufficient and you’re still having trouble getting a video to play or a screen to load, please go through the below troubleshooting steps:
On the website or mobile web:
- Make sure you’re using one of the supported operating systems and browsers listed here.
- If you’re using a data plan, try switching to a WiFi connection instead. We recommend using a WiFi connection.
- Disable any ad-blockers or browser plugins. These can sometimes conflict with video or audio playback.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies history, close your browser, then reload Fender Play to try again.
- Make sure you don't have any other tabs or browser windows open in the background.
- Update your browser to the latest version.
- Limit streaming activity from other devices using the same WiFi network.
- Reboot your network router. This will clear your network cache and could resolve some playback issues.
On the app:
- Make sure you’re using one of the supported devices listed here.
- If you’re using a data plan, try switching to a WiFi connection instead. We recommend using a WiFi connection.
- Sign out of your account, then delete the app and reinstall a fresh copy.
- Make sure you don't have any browser windows or other apps open in the background.
- Limit streaming activity from other devices using the same WiFi network.
- Reboot your network router. This will clear your network cache and could resolve some playback issues.
- If you're using an iPhone or iPad, silent mode must be disabled when using Practice Mode. Depending on your device, this is either the switch on the side of your device or it's in the control center menu (swipe up and disable the ringer icon).
